Potty Time

Baby girl is going to the potty more and more now!  Hopefully the potty training will be a soon success and mommy will have extra diaper $$!!!  Whoop!!!  You get so excited when you use the potty and you have to do everything yourself....from taking off your pull-up to dumping out your tee-tee.  Then you do a "booty dance" where you turn around stick out your booty and sing "booty booty booty"....I can guarantee you that came from your brother somewhere down the line.  Hopefully you grow out of that before you get into kindergarten!

2 Year Stats

Well Tanner is now 2 years old going on 20.  She is such a joy and a handful!  We went to Dr. Jamie today for her 2 yr appointment and she is in the 75% for height and 50% for weight.  Weighing in at 28 lbs she is doing a good job hiding all of that candy she eats!!!  We couldn't be happier and love this little girl anymore than we do each and every day.  Tanner brings so much joy to our lives and we are so blessed to be given the privilege of being her mommy and daddy.  She is so spunky, so unique, so great.  We have all learned how to enjoy life a little bit more because of her and we are excited to see where this little girl is going to go in life.  Don't let her fool you though.....she has the stubborn, stern German streak in her too.  If she doesn't get her way you will know it!  I can't wait to get our pics back from our recent photo session with Angela b/c 80% of them are of Tanner's butt in the air and her pitching a fit!

Happy Happy Birthday Nans!

Happy 2nd birthday to our sweet baby girl!  Wow.....has it really been two years???  It has been a blur......a big, fun blur that I wouldn't change a minute of.......except maybe if I could figure out how to freeze time.  So here are some things that you do and are interested in at 2 years old:

You love, love, love to color.  You look like a little teenage girl laying on your stomach with your legs crossed in the air, head resting on one arm and coloring.

You are a risk taker......and mommy hates it!  You want to swing as high as the swing will go when I push you.  You just say "mou, mou, mou" when I swing you.  You like to climb up the playhouse and "dump" or jump, you want to do anything your brother does and you do not realize that you are a teeny version of your brother....not yet ready to conquer the world.

You grab my cheeks and push them together to make a fish face and you think it is the funniest thing in the world....then you give me big hugs that make me feel like I could move the world for you.

Everything we do I have to tell you "last time" so you will not freak out when we finish....when we do ride little horsey or read a book or swing I always have to tell you "last time".  And you hold up your index finger, point it at me and say....."das dime".

You say "hush mommy" when I sing to you :)  So cute it doesn't hurt my feelings at all!

You are absolutely in awe of your brother.  He does everything for you and is so stinking sweet to you.  You completely love him as your brother and I hope you two always have that.  Your brother is the only one (besides me and daddy) that will be there for you through anything.  Remember that...

You are a momma's girl but you do remember that your daddy needs to be spoiled sometimes too and it means the world to him when you run up to him with your arms high yelling "dede" and giving him a big hug.

I hope you always know and always remember that we love you so, so much.  You and your brother are the two MOST important things to me & daddy and we will always be here for you two NO MATTER WHAT.  We will enjoy you two through the good days and love you unconditionally through the bad ones.  You are our nan's.

We're going to the beach, the beach, the beach........

Tanner's first trip to the beach!  We had so much fun!!!  I was dreading the drive down to Panama City (4 hrs) but it really was not that bad.  You and Cade kept yourselves entertained for the most part.  We got there bright and early and hit the beach.  You were fine with the beach as long as your feet didn't touch the sand!  Ummm.......miles and miles of white sand......yes that was easy.  You really didn't have much interest at all in the beach but LOVED the pools.  The first trip was a good one and we can't wait to go back!

Little Miss Attitude

Well, we have come a long way in the past months.  Tanner is walking, talking, pinching, screaming, etc.  She is such a cutie and has such a funny personality.  She loves to make people laugh.  She walks around with her hands on her hips and will do anything to make you happy......as long as she is happy that is!  If you are doing something she doesn't want you to do or if you aren't doing something that she wants to do......watch out!  She can turn on the tears in a second and will cry like it is the end of the world.  She will pinch too and she tries to do it secretly thinking that she won't get caught....but when she does and is sent to time-out.....she smiles!  It is like she enjoys getting in trouble.....I think we are going to have our hands full!

Little Miss Model

My neighbor came over to model some dresses for my new online boutique that I am trying out.  Tanner was so shy and would not get one step away from me when our neighbor was there but as soon as she left Tanner turned in to Miss Model.  She went to the exact spot my neighbor was in and started turning around and smiling......so cute!

18 Month Check Up

18 months already???  Where does the time go?  I took Tanner last week to see Dr. Jamie and she is doing great!  She weighs 28.5lbs and is 30 inches long.  She is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height.  One shot later and we were on our way!  Cade was sweet because when Tanner was about to get her shot his eyes started to water and he said that he just couldn't take it then went to sit in the hallway.  Such a good big bro.

This looks like a good place to do my top ten loves of Tanner so at 18 months here they are:

1.  Love how she says " Dank Du" for thank you
2. Love how if she thinks she has hurt Cade's feelings she will go lay her head on his lap.
3.  Love how she trys to act just like Cade....even roaring like a dinosaur.
4. I love the way she squeals when she hears me come home.
5.  I love how she freaks out to get to me when I come in to her room at school.
6.  I love how she eats SO much!
7. Love how she waves bye like crab pinchers.
8.  Love how when someone tells her bye she repeats "Bye" in the cutest baby voice over and over and over again until they are out of sight.
9.  Love how she fake cries with her grandmommies are leaving.
10.  Love how she is a daddy's girl and tries to help him in the yard.

Talking Like Crazy

So we have been hearing the babble for a while now but lately Tanner has become such a talker!  There are a few words that I have figured out but for majority, she and I can sit and have an entire coversation and I will have no clue what she is talking about.  Her first "real" word was "thank you" or "dane do".  So cute!  She can also say....buhbuh for Cade, ma for mommy and da for daddy.  Love it!

Another recent change is the way she is such a DADDY'S GIRL!  She wakes up screaming "DAAAAA" and when she sees him her face just lights up.  She walks around the yard helping Justin with the flowers and wants to be right by his side.  It is so sweet.

Happy Easter!

Lovin Her Brother

We are so lucky to have kids that love each other so much.  Tanner wants to do everything that her brother does.........and I mean EVERYTHING!  Cade sometimes takes it to the extreme to see what she will try and do......monkey bars come to mind.......but he is an amazing big brother.  He gets his feelings hurt sometimes because Tanner will yell at him when she doesn't want him to do something or touch something that she has.  It is pretty funny how she already does this.  For example, Easter was this past weekend and she was extremely protective of her plastic eggs!  Everytime Cade would try to get one from her basket she would let out this scream and just look at him like "how dare you".  She also gets super mad at Cade if he trys to get some of anything she is eating.  We had a HUGE container of cheese balls that she staked her claim on and would scream anytime Cade would try and get a handful.  Nuts!  She covers her eyes and falls on the floor when she gets upset like these things are so traumatizing.  So dramatic!

I have pigtails!!

Tanner officially has enough hair for pigtails!  They are soooo cute!  The only problem is that she will not let me do her hair.....only her teachers!  Her teachers couldn't believe it when I told them this.  They said that she sits so still for them as long as needed.......figures!

Sweet Cade Talking to Santa

Christmas Time

Well we had a great Christmas!  Technically this was Tanner's second Christmas but really it was her first to get some real goodies from Santa.  Her favorite present so far is her baby piano.  I remember seeing pictures of me when I was around her age having a blast on a baby piano so this is the one thing that I was hoping Santa would bring her.  She cracks me up playing it.  Leave it to Tanner to come up with a one-of-a-kind way to play her piano........she plays with her butt!  She goes and sits on the keys and just bouces up and down playing while drinking her sippy cup.  She cracks me up!

She also likes her big brother's bean bag that he got from GiGi.  Cade on the other hand is not too excited about her interest in his bag and he is hoping she gets bored with it quick.
